Do you really know what you are talking about? Do you? Let me give you a lesson. Hezbo did not exist before 1982. Do you know why? Because the Shias where represented by a more secular party called (Party of hope), However, some Shias thought that when Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982, The hope party did not resist them and did not represent all the Shias views, so they decide for a separate Party which is today is called Hezbo. They worked in the background; kick the American and the French out of Lebanon. At that time the Lebanese government was playing into the hand of the US administration.
With time Hezbo, drove the Israelis out of S. Lebanon, they also became a social organization helping their own people, building hospitals, schools, daycare, and clinics and helping the poor to pay their rent and feed their families while the Lebanese government did not have the money to do so. They became more and more popular to their people and their people elected them to parliament and also got them two seats in the ruling government. (Democracy. No dimple, no bumps) They are funded by rich Shias and Iran (Iran is mostly Shias) same as Israel is funded by rich Jews and the US.
If the military arm of Hezbo got broken, the social aspect of Hezbo will stay until the Lebanese government is able to assume those responsibilities.
Indirectly, Israel created a need for Hezbo in Lebanon among the Shias that if Hezbo is to go, another Hezbo will emerge and therefore, Israel will never have peace.
The Lebanese government was trying to disarm Hezbo, Hezbo kept saying if Israel attacks the government can not defend itself. On July 12th 2006, Israel proved those words.
Have you noticed that every one including the Israelis consider the fight with Hezbo not with the Lebanese people? Yet most of the dead are Lebanese civilians.
However, to you, ignorance is bliss, which I should respect that cause it is you choice.
That will be the end of this argument unless you have something substantial to offer.
