Then that lead is followed by the word WHEN. This tells the reader that the Israelis will take care of their own radicals after something occurs.

So Israel is supposed to censor its people's right to hold beliefs and proclamations, even if they are radical and belligerent??

Then I guess that means the US can do the same thing with the KKK, the Nation of Islam, and a fair lot of liberals who commonly refer to the US as "fascist"..

Of course this bears no resemblance to the situation in Lebanon as Hezbollah is not undermining the government of either Israel or Lebanon.

Geezus Weeps!!! An armed militia that has continuously refused to disarm, possesses more advanced FOREIGN missile technology than the the Lebanese army, which will not stop involving the people of Lebanon in its own personal grudge match against Israel is NOT undermining Lebanon??!!!

Just what the f*ck are you smoking Jttmab???!!!!

My point was that Israel, nor any other truly democratic soveriegn country, would tolerate an armed militia engaging in its own violent foreign policy from its sovereign territory.

Basically, the Rabinnical Council had to be worse than Hezbollah before anything would be done.

No.. they just have to be found to be involved in ACTIONS (not merely words) that directly conflict with the internal and foreign policies of the duly elected government.

And one of those actions would be accepting advanced weapons from a FOREIGN POWER without the express approval of the duly elected government.

And ESPECIALLY if such weaponry rendered the military forces of the duly elected government incapable of disarming that group.

And yes.. the Israel CAN, AND HAVE, dealt with their extremist elements when they have transgressed the law.

Hizbullah will always exist, I have no doubt about that. But they MUST ABIDE by the laws of the duly elected government of Lebanon and IT MUST SUBMIT to the sovereign authority for the government of Lebanon to maintain a MONOPOLY on the use of armed force against threats, internal and foreign.

And if you can't understand that, then the only neanderthal here is you.
