While I agree with your thinking that LNG is an intermediate term solution to our heating / energy needs (at least I think thats what you meant, feel free to correct) my problem is I don't see the facilities being developed in the short term.

I just don't see LNG terminals being expanded / created to meet the demand. Too much opposition from the anti business and environmental lobby's.

We'll need higher price pain than what we see now to have leglislation passed. Right now CT's electric rates are 70% higher than 2005 levels and the LNG terminal in LI Sound has strong opposition.
