MUR faxed dealers about 9PM to raise prices .02/gal.

I overheard the station attendant mention this to a friend as I was paying to fill the 'burb.

I think they will rise more and stay high through mid-Sept.

Doc, Hi there,
Why do you think that BP is so environmentally friendly? Because of the commercials on TV??
Took a trip past a BP refinery south of Pittsburg a few years ago and went by a BP refinery. With the burning of the flare gas the place LOOKED like Dante's Inferno and smelled worse.
Bp Has had MANY maintenance related problems [has have others as production is pushed to the max].
Best wishes,
danco

>>"I don't even know how long it's going to take to shut it down," said Tom Williams, BP's senior tax and royalty counsel.<<

They may have to reduce the flow gradually while carefully monitoring the pipeline system for performance anomalies.
The slackline situations referenced in my previous post could behave differently when throughput is cut in half.

OK, in that report it says:

"BP previously said it would replace a 3-mile segment of pipeline following inspections conducted after up to 267,000 gallons of oil spilled onto the frozen ground about 250 miles above the Arctic Circle in March."
is that March this year? If so, what have they been doing since March, that is 5 months ago? I dont think we have heard anything about them taking anything offline since then? If its been 5 months, why is this pol praising it as immediate, instead of blasting the company "House Speaker John Harris said it was admirable that BP took immediate action, although it's sure to hurt state coffers," ?

The reaction to this doesnt seem quite right...

thx, klh
