I am sure that the Lebanese do not want an Islamic state neither Israel want an Islamic state for a neighbor. As I mentioned before, The US taxpayer is being gouged by the think tanks in Washington.

Coming soon three state solution in iraq (perhaps party times 2 state if sunni arabs and kurds can settle differences) and a two state solution in lebanon with one state being a pure creature of iran. You are right--this has not gone/is not going as planned. There is no way to know how this will all turn out but war seems to be the immediate answer.
