try to find much of anything in the History section

The curriculem hasn't changed much since I went to school some 40 years ago. The history then was just names and dates. The science was just water-bugs and latin names. Health class was 6 weeks of tooth brushing technique. I did learn a lot about diagramming sentence structures.

It was not until I got involved in some inter-school contests that the principal showed me the "hidden" library section of textbooks on history and physics. These too were incomplete so I read the World Book Encyclopedia from A-Z and followed it with the Britanica.
