Yeah, I followed the German bear story on that thread, too. Seems a pity to kill the bear, but it had wandered where it didn't belong. LBighorn has it right in his links -- such things are less about environment and habitat than they are about power and removal of property rights. I also agree with you that too many people is what "screws the pooch" when it comes to individual freedoms. I join in your apology to the thread for this discussion. It doesn't really belong on this thread.

hey, the discussion has been interesting and informative, and relates to things you've both written about... and i wouldn't mind writing about. i've been enjoying it, and the different viewpoints. i tend to always side with the wolf over the human, but that's me. smile. it's all poet territory.
