No Hawk, the US cannot decide on behalf of the UN when to invade a country and topple its leadership. Pretend anything you like, but the US tried and failed to win support for the invasion of Iraq, and failing that decided it would do it on its own with a little gang of countries it called the "coalition of the willing" operating outside the UN. The US decided it would use force just like any other little group of extremists would do -- just as those you say you condemn would do.
