Or not. (That could only happen if people believe he is a 'conservative'. If they DON'T... then it doesn't discredit 'conservatism'... just maybe politicians who say one theing then do another.) Solid conservatives might not see Bush as conservative (at least on thiss issue, and perhaps even in general) but I think most of the rest of the country does. Perhaps that explains why some people consider Bush II to be a 'conservative', while others are sure he's not --- they are thinking of DIFFERENT THINGS. True but a lot of people, esp. people who are neither form of conservative, lump the two together.
