I worked on that line jack. Man, those pipes will take a huge quantity of steel and moly. I think they are going to run the gas line through Canada.

Although there is a war going on up here regarding the gov's proposal and the ex top pipeline guy and his assistant who was fired for disagreeing with he gov. He says it is a giveaway to the oil companies and so does his assistant.

they are on TV constantly, paid by the gottsteins I think. rich dems in alaska. Too complicated for me and most others to figure out. The all Alaska line would go alongside the oil line, I think.

Now someone told me they do not use zinc as they cannot weld it, but I know nothing about that sort of stuff.

The Alaska stuff on the North Slope uses more moly for cold weather strength. It helps steel resist crack propagation.
If they had used moly steel on the Titanic it would still be afloat.

On the other hand, the tropical pipeline needs more corrosion resistance.
