<In reality it did> You seem unfamiliar with the meaning of the word "reality". Reality is what is real. Delusion is believing that you can substitute things that are not real to take the place of things that are real. What is real is that the US had no cease fire agreement with Iraq -- that is reality. What you have is delusion, which is something quite far from reality. You presume that the US speaks, acts and decides for the UN and the UN either rubber stamps what the US says, does and decides or else the US can equally well go ahead and simply say, do and decide whatever it likes anyway, without any consequences. we are now paying the price for your delusion -- the price is 20,000 dead Americans and/or wounded Amiercans, uncounted tens of thousands of dead Iraqis, bills we can't pay, a weakening of our military, a quagmire we can't get out of and a general sense on the part of most people in the world that we are not to be trusted let alone admired or respected. What we unilaterally say, do and decide has consequences for us and for others -- very bad consequences when our unilateral actions include electing to make war without a legal reason -- a stupid war at that -- and then proceed to screw things up royally.
