The NYT has made a great and purposeful effort to cheer-lead for Bush?!?

What planet do you live on?

The NYTimes isn't collectively stupid

Checked their circulation and advertising figures lately? Heard about Jayson Blair and Howell Raines? They certainly haven't been winning any points for cleverness lately.

They are a corporate entity and they have made a great and purposeful effort to squash progressive opinions and cheerlead for the Bushies.

The NYT has been shaping the news with DNC talking points since Bush took office. Economic stats that got "happy days are here again" headlines when Clinton was president, get "poor and minorities suffer worse than ever" headlines since Bush came to office.

Kerry could have written most of the campaign headlines in 2004. When the Swiftvets book hit the best seller list, the Times didn't even review it, but wrote front page articles proving some six-degrees-of-separation connection between the Swiftvets and Rove, without even addressing the merit of the charges. That just as tight connections could easily be proved between Dem 527s and the Kerry campaign, was never mentioned. It was only damning if you were a Republican.

And let's not even start on NYT rush to print any & all classified information leaked to them, whether or not any possible wrongdoing has happened, whether or not legitimate national security questions are involved, whether or not they receive solemn bipartisan requests not to print. If it might embarrass Bush, it goes on the front page above the fold.

What color is the sky on your planet? I find hard to conceive of a position so far left that the NYT looks rightwing from there. I didn't think there was a place that far left on the political spectrum. Are you a Socialist?
