No I hadn't, but what the Muslims need is that type of statement from one of their own strongmen. A Muslim woman living in Los Angeles is not the best source to influence the population of the Middle East.

She's getting death threats in LA. What do you think will happen to any Arab politician talking that way? Look what happened to Rafik Hariri.

The culture of jihad gives not just the right, but the DUTY, to silence with violence those who do not agree. Because jihad is sacred! So the extremist minority cows and brainwashes the majority.

David Pryce Jones has a good explanation: The current attacks on Israel by Hamas and Hezbollah repeat an essential misperception shared by the Arabo-Iranian elites : that Israel is not a country in its own right with citizens willing to die for it. So they keep on making the same mistake of using force which brings counterforce down with interest on their own heads. Why don’t they learn from experience ? Essentially this is a cultural matter. They have grown up and been educated to despise Jews; and to be resisted and even defeated by these despicable creatures is a shame not to be borne, again and again demanding to be wiped out, whatever the cost. Down the ages, Muslim authorities all agree that Jews are by nature cowardly and ignominious, and therefore their present military successes cannot be what they seem. Somebody has to be empowering them, and that somebody is the United States. Shame is this engine of these fantasies.

Israelis are not just Israelis to this mentality. They are a walking symbol of world-wide conspiracy and Arab shame and helplessness. What will wash out such feelings? Only a humiliation and devastation of the Israeli even greater than the shame felt by the Arabs. The Arabs are desperate for it. That's why they keep proclaiming that their defeats are really victories, so they don't have to add any more shame to the total sum.

Americans think Walker Lyndh is a loser-crackpot, I imagine Muslim clerics in Egypt would have a similar view of an outspoken Muslim female living in Los Angeles.

You still don't get it. ANY criticism of Islam is considered blasphemy and is met with a death fatwa. I can't think of a anyone that's criticised Islam in any way shape or form that doesn't have a death sentence from some Imam/Mullah. They hate it when foreigners speak out, simply because they're harder to get to too kill. This is the mechanism they've used to keep the muslim religion unchanged since the medieval era.
