Pelosi was in our state last week. Her pitch was to raw greed for pork - vote democrat and two of your congressmen will be chairmen of powerful committees ( and you know that that means wink wink )

My congressman - Oberstar - is ranking democrat on transportation. I will not be voting for him but I think he may squeak in again anyway.

he is so powerful for the state to bring in money and keep jobs.

those trying to throw him out are not from ct

It's true that a lot of people parachuted in, but the Lamont campaign started with locals, mostly people associated with the Connecticut Citizen's Action Group, an activist group that goes back to the 60s. It's not as fringe as it sounds, a lot of officeholders got their start working with them.

The Lamont campaign would never have gotten off the ground without support from Democrat Town Committee members, of which there were many. When I saw Lamont bumper stickers on cars in the Legislative Office Building parking garage back in March or April, I knew Joe had a problem.
