If giving up that territory in a year would be beneficial I'd say go for it, its not that important.

But I don't see how it results in a net benefit. Hezbollah will find some other pretext (while claiming that its resistance now showed Israel that it couldn't hold on to Sheba). Also some would claim that Israel giving it to Lebanon validates Hezbollah's earlier claims. Israel gains nothing as far as I can see. Giving it to Syria (or even Lebanon) as part of some larger peace agreement involving Syria and Lebanon would make sense but absent that I don't see the point.
