Rink,

>> Dell AMD-based laptops. Inq article. October release date. Confirmed by fly on the wall. Both tidbits were posted here today and was why AMD was opening high.
<<

Anticipation of Dell-AMD products has been active for a week or more. I wouldn't expect yet another another speculative article to influence institutions. A Dell announcement would be different, of course.

>> You should have been smart enough to have read this earlier yourself and come to the conclusion that this is positive news for AMD.

I read it, and came to the conclusion that it was not the type of news that would be strong enough to break the pattern of institutional selling. Also, Dell was down from the open, so that confirmed the conclusion that a Dell-AMD expansion is not viewed with enough enthusiasm (or credibility) to overcome whatever is driving the down-trend at this time.

re >> You'll probably claim exactly how smart you

No, no. I'll make claims about what model explains past behaviour and successfuly predicts future stock price.

Regards to you too.
