looks like no energy company can make it right for the far left-wing camp (represented by the Guardian here), regardles of what they are doing - as long as they are not doing sometihing weird in the domaind of "alternative energy". Maybe it'S the inherent nature of this relationship and how it has developed in the last 30 years..

If BP continues to pump .. the Guardian (and others) finger point and decry "environmental damage"

If BP closes the pipeline .. the same group finger points and shouts "price gouging" etc..

so what ? Since no energy company can ever make these fellows happy, why not just quit trying.. and do what prudence, law and the economics dictate instead
