As of now Lamont has only a 4% lead with about 70% precincts counted, Lieberman could pull ahead if the neighborhoods where Joe grew up have yet to be counted. Besides, Lieberman will most likely run as an Independent if he loses the primary. Most prognosticators say he would easily win as an Independent. Repubs are rooting for Lamont--his win will send the correct message that the term "loyal opposition" no longer applies to the Democrats.
