Hi Nadine Carroll; Did you notice that the Arabs and Lebanese weren't signing up for a cease fire? You'd think that after all that massive punishment they've been receiving that they'd be all over anything that they could get. Unless, well, unless, all those articles being published in the Israeli press expressing disappointment in the IDF are accurate.

Since all Hizbullah has to do to declare an Arab victory is survive, and they perceive that the suffering of the Lebanese is a plus for them rather than a minus, one can only conclude that they are surviving. I think those articles are probably accurate, but fighting such a dug in forace is only quick if the political will collapses. If you have to fight, it will be a slow business. You can always count on the newspaper to yell 'quagmire' right up to the moment somebody surrenders. Haven't we seen that before?
