>You said, This so called war amount to a total waste of lives.

It reminds Hezbollah and Iran and Syria
that Israel is a force to be reckoned with.
Indeed, even though some in the media might have us believe otherwise, due to restraint Israel has been using.
Restraint in war is a very challenging premise

There are a thousand ways one can view the cause of war between peoples.
The crusades were fought in the name of Christ.
The old testament states an eye for and eye and here we have quite a few eyes the result of the capture of two soldiers.
The wrath of God.
And the Muslim in turn who obtains paradise by the forfeiting of life.
So acting with the wrath of God they think in terms of end bliss.

One can visualize this war turning into a international crisis
Who is the friend to the US in the middle east?
Well in my opinion I certainly would not want to be dropped off in Iran and I would prefer to be dropped off in Israel.
Does that mean I am pro Israel?
No it just means I am pro women and the women I have met from Iran are considered as secondary citizens.

The war of the Hezbollah against Israel and their attempt to unite Arabs against Israel.
What does that mean to me mostly if you are productive working and becoming successful you do not have time to war. Mother nature and Father time are ever committed to planet earth destroy and rebuild.

I think there are so many successful Arabs yet the investment end of Arab for Arab growth is limited to very few nations in the Arab world
The more assured way to wealth has been invest in the US/ China.
I suppose that is why Kaddafi was so fed up of trying to unify Arabs it was dream impossible..
My conclusion most honestly is terrorist type Muslims are barking up the wrong trees period
Arab nations problems are totally home grown.

Why do we have gangs in LA? To end all gang activity is rather like looking for a needle in a hay stack.
Our solution is not to bomb the hay stack for one needle. In bombing that hay stack the you destroy all the people who have utterly nothing to do with a gang,
Lebanon is stuck with one huge unruly gang
Ideally Lebanon should handle the problem or ask Israel intelligence to come in on the condition she pin points the trouble makers
The UN can jaw bone this problem forever but it does not stop innocent lives from being taken.
That requires a physical presence

Hezbollah could very well be to Lebanon a problem much larger in size that of our disrespectful soldiers whose actions have been utterly deplorable in Iraq We do not condone cruel yet we were not able to for see and control the actions of this perverted element. Lebanon did not see and hence has not been able to control the actions of the Hezbollah

How do we define what is our proper role in the middle east?

We are being asked, in part by the offspring of our own creative minds loosed in the world to mature and step up to the plate or bear the cost of our own technological magic selfishly used through irresponsibility.

The other part doing the asking is reason within the human heart of those who have suffered in life and war and know first hand the wonder of cooperation and safety and freedom and law.

Too too True.
Chaos left where is seems the simple short term solution.
Israels decision with deletion of words to protect the innocent in my opinion is a warriors war.
