The ranks of 12 of the 15 Israeli KIA from Wednesday: Major Nathan Yahav, 36, from Kiryat Ono Captain Leon Schmuker, 30, from Beit Nehemiah Captain Gilead Shtokelman, 26, from Tamrat Sergeant Major Igor Kovalik, 26, from Natsrat Illit Sergeant Major David Samidov, 25, from Jerusalem Sergeant Major Nir Cohen, 22, from Maccabim-Reut Sergeant Major Reuven Novik, 36, from Kanaf Sergeant Major Adi Salem, 22, from Beit Hashmonai Staff Sergeant Nir Cohen, 22, from Maccabim-Reut Staff sergeant Benny Sela, 24, from Koranit 1st Sergeant Noam Goldman, 27, from Tel Aviv Gilead Zussman, 26, the third soldier from Eli to be killed in this war And another captain, Gilad Balahsan, 28, of Karmiel, was killed Tuesday. Sure looks to me like the Israelis are taking some nasty ambushes. For a small military like Israel's 15 in one day is painful, but losing officers at this rate must be rough. -- Carl
