The US lawsuits and the ITC claim against Nokia may not be going well, too. The filing of the latest suit is not the kind of action one takes if other suits are going well.

It is hard to keep track of all of the court cases, but I dont see much progress in either the ITC trial or the GSM patents trial filed in November.

The ITC case just started and Nokia is supposed to file their response to the initial complaint tomorrow.

The GSM patents trial looks like it has been on hold pending a Nokia appeal to stay the court proceedings. I think there was an initial ruling denying Nokia's motion and they are now appealing that to the Federal Court of Appeals. Maybe they managed to finally get a ruling on that so the GSM patents trial can actually begin. There havent been any Markman hearings yet.

Nokia might believe that they will lose these cases eventually, but these cases havent gone far enough to conclude that Nokia is doing badly (at least to my totally untrained eye).
