I don't ever worry about the politics of the artists I enjoy. If I enjoyed Mel his latest little "problem" wouldn't put me off him. It's no more relevant than then politics of my dentist or my favorite chef. If they are good at what they do, if they perform a service I want, and might even enjoy, then I'm going to take that service- and let them have their personal politics, as I have my personal politics. I assume they don't worry about my politics- when I enjoy the service they offer. Does Mel worry that Zionists may be enjoying his movies? Presumably not. I doubt gay people worry about whether straight people are enjoying their works (except perhaps hoping the straight community does embrace them, because it means more cash.)

The amount of time some people spend worrying about the politics of others, or what other people are doing, or how they are living, is truly weird (to me). But chacon a son gout, I guess.
