LEND did that to me too over many months, so much so that I covered yesterday. To avoid snatching defeat from the grasp of victory can be very difficult.


At one point last year the unrealized loss in my LEND position was probably greater than 2x the average family's income in America. Fortunately, it was offset by short profits elsewhere.

When I covered all of my shorts in June I finally had an individual profit in it, but over the last few weeks I put a massive position back on. As Bobcor so eloquently pointed out recently, it doesn't pay to try to get cute when the bear is returning. When you know a $40 or $50 stock will get to -0- within 12-18 months, put it on and forget about it. The key is not to use so much size or leverage that you can get shaken out of your position. When you can't take the pain any more, short more. <ng>
