Maybe Peter and I over-emphasized comments earlier today about lack of animal data, which would be routinely acquired in pre-clinical studies. The initiation of an FDA-approved Phase I trial indicates that pre-clinical studies have been done and have met FDA standards for an Investigational New Drug Application. IND status generally connotes that there have been animal studies, where appropriate.

As TGN showed tragically this Winter, that's not a guarantee that a drug can be safely tested in humans. But it is permission to try it.

"Web site sucks."

Tell them what you don't like about it. They might listen.
