May be stupid, but it's the business reality. You may recall me mentioning my Chinese lady friend who imports flooring products? She is beset with a big round of inflationary spiral product price increases and tougher terms from China, higher costs for warehousing, higher utility bills, workers asking for raises, insurance increases, etc. I told her she needed to get her prices up, and pronto. She hesitated at first, but then sent out notices that her prices were now up 4%, and encouraged her customers to act quickly, before they went up another 4%. Do you think her customers balked? Hardly, cleaned most of her inventory out. New stuff coming in has another 4% price increase to customers. Still think she's only covered about half her own cost increases that have continued to ratchet up.
