With VCast, data apps are unlimited flat rate on their DO network.

You must mean that using the data apps incur no additional charge, correct? The apps themselves cost money (either a monthly subscription charge or a flat one time fee). after all, a fee is critical to Qualcomm's BREW business model :).

In the end, I really don't think I would go back to SprintPCS despite my parents living in the center of an area with no Verizon service.

Is this decision based on BREW vs. Java?
