Lieberman is no hero. He's just selfish and addicted to power.

White House press secretary Tony Snow said Tuesday's primary bodes poorly for the Democratic Party this fall. "I know a lot of people have tried to make this a referendum on the president, and I would flip it," Snow said from Crawford, Texas, where President Bush is spending time at his home. "I think, instead, it's a defining moment for the Democratic Party, whose national leaders now have made it clear that if you disagree with the extreme left in their party they're going to come after you."

What is so "extreme left" about Lamont? He is a businessman, for Heaven's sake! How can he be "extreme left"?!

If being against the occupation of Iraq is "extreme left", then is Pat Buchanan also on the "extreme left"? Is Chuck Hagel on the "extreme left" too? Are 60 percent of Americans on the "extreme left" as well?

"Anti-occupation/war" does not automatically equate to left-wing or right-wing. There have been butchers on both the left (Stalin, Pol Pot etc.) as well as on the right (Hitler, George W Bush etc.)
