Sure, Ahmadinejad is a Mahdian death cultist nutjob, and may be in fact undeterrable as Lewis suggests, but 22 August also corresponds to the end of the month, Mordad, in the Persian calendar. It might be that Ahmadinejad simply said "We'll tell you by the end of the month".

This from chrissy the parson who said to me in an earlier post that i am loyal to israel and disloyal to the US and take my orders from AIPAC. I know you folks arent feingold fans but he has been a decent and sincere advocate of the liberal ideology. He has taken bush to task on issues he is passionate about and that passion is what many of you on the right should appreciate. But Feingold blame hizbolla for this war because he sees things with clear eyes even if his solutions differ from ours.
