No Kerry was wrong to vote against the Gulf War. That war was well-organized and funded completely by the parties most affected. It didn't cost the US a dime and very few casualties as well.

Unless you're saying Saddam was not to blame for invading Kuwait and threatening the Saudis.

Kerry was also wrong to vote for the Bush Iraq war powers act. But that was not voting for a war, it was voting to give the prez powers as a LAST RESORT to go to war, and in the meantime to use use real force to threaten Saddam into letting inspectors have free access to every suspected WMD site. As it turns out the WMD were destroyed years before, but Bush-Cheney decided to cover that fact up and lie to us, and to congress. Therefore, we cannot blame Kerry for his vote. He was lied to as well, at the highest level. He would only be to blame if he hadn't stated he deeply regrets that vote, which he has done now. So leave Kerry alone. The culprits are in the White House and on the rightwing, plus a few appeasers like Lieberman. The price of their lies is the health of our military and maybe a trillion bucks of taxpayer money. The price is also the current violence in Lebanon and about 75 cents added to the price of gas.
