I have seldom seen so many half truths, lies and pieces of outright fiction strung together to resemble the warped imaginings of a diseased mind in my whole life. There was no huge groundswell of support for the US in Iran, there was simply rank fear the US was going to devastate the whole region after 9/11, and the cowardly reaction of "please don't kill us."
Iran was and still is pleased with the attack on Iraq, because it deposed the Sunnis and has put in power the Shia, with whom iran has a strong relationship. As far as the US poking things at Iran, the only thing Iran is pissed about is the continued action to prevent Iran from developing Nuclear Weapons. Many of the Arab countries, Iran is not an Arab Country, don't want Iran to develop Nuclear weapons either. As far as hizbollah is concerned, I agree that Hizbollah is an Israeli problem and that you as an American should stop interfering and allow Israel to kill every member of Hizbollah so that Israelis can live in peace. Nasrallah has turned down UN intercession so that Israel has to beef up it's attacks on Lebanon, because Lebanon doesn't want peace. Until lebanon executes Nasrallah for crimes against Humanity, Israel is fully justified in doing whatever it has to, in order to acheive the safety of Israelis. Perhaps it is time to consider Nuking Beirut.
