Yes, many scenarios have been discussed. Most likely the U.S. is allowing Hezbohla to expend their rockets and resources, so we can attack Iran without consequences. Getting into a war with Iran should be fairly easy. All that is needed is an attack on a U.S. vessel and let the bombs fall on Iran.

According to the Navy, the Lincoln docked Tuesday in Seattle. The Reagan docked July 6 at San Diego.
