I think QCOM has a poison pill provision to defend against hostile takeover. Yes, at this cheap price, with plenty of cash and no debt, valuable/smart engineers, considerable real estate, QCOM is attractive. Nevertheless, with all that negative things going, QCOM has not changed its benevolent treatment of its employee: like upcoming summer QCOM picnic at Qualcomm stadium, and holiday party. There is no sign for cost cutting, which means financially it is still in great shape. Just that the employee stock option and employee stock purchase program are way under water.
