So what does all that suggest -- because the Lebanese are passive and defenseless we are asked to sit by as the Lebanese whine and the islamists reassert themselves?

Have you thought the extreme of that argument through?

Rationally, it would make far better sense for the Lebanese to welcome Israel and allow Israel to help them to handle their islam-out-of-control situation.

A fat chance of that.
