Abraham and Job way-way were before Christ. Christ taught his followers to give away everything to the poor. And I mean everything. Christ in fact was the ultimate communist (as in commmunal living, sharing everything equally), and very much a pacifist liberal too. Turning the other cheek and forgiving your enemies is something rightwingers can't fathom. They also can't fathom caring about the poor or God's greatest creation which is our natural environment that sustains our lives.

Un-Christian prosperity ministries are just plain wrong and dishonest. So are those who teach hatred, racism, promote war and refuse to forgive others.

BTW: I don't think Christ was realistic, but his teachings are clear. And he would not approve of Bushie rightwingers at all.

Yeah, right. He was never against being rich.

“And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Mt. 19:24)

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Mk. 10:25)

“For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Lk. 18:25)
