Iraq had almost nothing to do with terrorism. It was very dishonest for Bushies to call it "the war on terror". Fox news also did this, proving that they are hand in hadn with the GOP propaganda desk. They misled a lot of people that way. 50%b of the country still think saddam had WMD and was allied with Al Qaida. Both were false. Actually Saddam was a natural enemy of Al Qaida.

The US made a strategic Mistake when they didn't kill Saddam in the first invasion. There really was not a choice, he should have been killed and a new government put in. So after going into Afghanistan, rather than sending in a death squad which Muslims would have understood, George had to regain face. Then he screwed up by allowing the iraqis to stage a trial. Saddam should have been tried in the hague for crimes against humanity and then executed in iraq. The next mistake he made was in trying not to blow up any Mosques. When a killer hides in a Mosque you go in and get him. Then you kill him. Bush was not wrong to call this a war on terror, he just isn't teaching the Muslims that there are bigger terrors.
Bushes only mistake is that he has been to soft.
