Thanks, tjk......Guess I have an early edition......Section on diagonal triangles pp..30-31....nothing said about C waves.... But he does say.......and this has puzzled me given the number of EDs we tend to see around here <g>......
<< Diagonal triangles are fairly rare....>>..and then adds <<must not be confused with the more common variety of corrective triangles which develop in fourth wave....>>

Will look closely at your suggested count...First blush, problem I have...and have always had......is that your 4th wave beginning 7/27 (which could tally with foregoing quote) unfortunately overlaps with 1st wave high 7/19.

Thanks again..As I said to Freep....EW-challenged here....vbg

tj, there's no debate that "the C wave of a flat can be an ED."

But although we can all count five waves since the July low, they're overlapping as mc mentions, as the 7/20 putative wave 1 high of 1262.56 was overlapped by putative the 7/27 wave 4 low of 1261.92, so that would seem to invalidate that count.

Nevertheless, I think the move up from June is done anyway, notwithstanding E-wave intricacies. <g>
