Diversification across asset classes and jurisdictions is the issue.

I can't argue with diversification - one of my main beliefs - but I still get preferential treatment from local city council and local friends and family in gubbment/business that I don't feel I would get if I invested in Jay's phoenix fund. Property managers stick it to out of town investors more than the guy living down the street from them - at least that has been my experience. When they want to make some money - the call the crooked plumber to fix what aint broke at the out of town yankees real estate - not the redneck they are eating BBQ with. I have read certain jewish types don't charge interest to fellow jewish types on loans but do to everyone else? Why?
