I dont think Mexican, Chinese salaries are going to fall. Another "Aushwitz" in US? It is possible though. My local city dwellers started bitching about the medians in the road - grass was growing fast and was not getting cut and making roads and city look ugly. Councilmen said professional landscaper costs too much - so someone had the bright idea - hey - we got all these guys in prison that just sit around and watch TV all day that we spend 40K a year on housing and feeding them. Lets make them do it for FREE and if they work really hard they can get out of jail sooner! As things get tighter and tighter I really don't see many city dwellers putting up an objection to working the criminals for all kinds of services. The chinese kill thier criminals and sell thier body parts. Don't know if we will go that far here but just about everyday I see the prison bus out working the criminals cleaning up the city. I used to have bum friends that were like red skelton - they WANTED to go to jail to get free medical, dental work, food, bed - etc etc - now they DON'T want to go because they afraid the only way you can get out now is to join the work crew - hehe.
