SCI 8.9 Tuesday September 19, 8:28 am ET HOUSTON (AP) -- Funeral services provider Service Corp. International said Tuesday it will privately place $500 million of unsecured senior notes. The notes will be comprised of $250 million senior notes due 2014 and $250 million senior notes due 2018. Service Corp. said it plans to use the proceeds, combined with available cash and other financings, to complete its acquisition of Alderwoods Group Inc. and refinance certain other debt.
