Exactly. Republicans are tax and stealers. They tax the heck out of the middle class with out of control spending. Add the 'tax' of energy costs along with reductions in services and increases in state and local taxes and fees and Republicans, since Reagan, have been the worst fiscal stewards of this country.

Instead of being more secure as time goes on, Americans are so much less secure. Even the upper middle class will see their jobs go overseas while the ultrarich get richer and pay less in taxes along with their megacorporate buds.

This is the multigenerational hollowing out of America. It's purposeful, it's immoral and those who are negatively affected the most keep supporting it. Even with all of the evidence at hand, there are so many well-educated people who still think of Republicans as fiscally responsible and Democrats as communists.

It's absurd but rightwing propaganda in the USA is a tough to overcome virus. People keep getting infected over and over again and keep voting against their own financial self interests.

"Even more amazing to me, here in the South, is the large number of lower-middle class that vote R....convinced that the dems will kill them with tax increases."

The Repugnicans have a lock on the vote on the left side of the bell curve of the normal distribution of intelligence. The proof is the polls that show that poor Repugnican voters are more concerned about the "Death Tax" than they are the income tax, despite the fact that none of them will EVER have to pay it!
