No, you are wrong. Not much "goes over my head"....And while you think "kidnapping only two soldiers" isn't worth fighting a war....how many times do you think that Hezbollah should be allowed to get away with that and how many people would be worth fighting for???

I can't put a number on it but apparently you can. I just know that two doesn't justify the level of destruction Israel did to Lebanon.

Does one human life mean much to you? When one looks at history, the Israel's were in the land FIRST. Why don't you think all others should leave....?

If you are talking before Christ, the Canaanites were there before the Jews and the Jews were only in control 2-300 years before the Great Disapora of Jews in the 6th century BC. After that, control of Palestine was pretty much in the hands of the Arab Muslims except for brief periods when the Mongols and Christians controlled the area around Jerusalem.

Most of the people of the Middle East have the same heritage. It seems such a waste that they always seem to be fighting and killing each other.

Well part of the problem is that the Zionists came in and took over. They had a very strong ideology that would not take no for an answer. Most people know when they go to a party uninvited they may not get treated very well. Well the Zionists didn't care and right from the get go they were told they were not wanted. Instead, they finagled their way in and raised money in Europe to buy land in Palestine. But even by the time of statehood they were only 30% of the population. The Arabs fought them every step of the way but they were not as affluent and as sophisticated as the Zionists nor did they have the connection to the Brits that the Zionists did. However, even the Brits began to realize in the late 1930s that giving Israel a state in Palestine was a mistake and began to back peddle. That's when Zionist terrorist organizations like Irgun began to start trouble for the Brits. They eventually blew up the Brits headquarters in Jerusalem........the King David Hotel.

Then when Israel did not look it was going to happen, the US under Truman stepped in and forced it through the UN. It was wrong then and its wrong now. You can not take land away from people and expect them to be happy about it. If the UN came in and said they are going to give NJ to the Congolese, Americans would go ballistic. In that way, the Arabs are no different from us.
