Its not just the English speaking world, the target is actually all free-market democracies (e.g. Spain, Indonesia too). These Islamic fundamentalists use our own freedoms and liberal democracies against us for their jihad, and I agree that its about time the world said enough is enough. Its really irritating to me to see pundits crop up on TV saying its a battle between the "West" and Islam, when it actually involves all nations that have freedom of religion.

I agree that the fact this current plot in the U.K. did not succeed means little. If the world does not wake up (again) one day they will succeed, at great cost. And think of Bush what you will, but I like the fact that he calls a spade a spade. Am really tired of people trying to be politically correct and avoid saying the obvious: Islamic terrorism is the greatest scourge in the world today and whether we like it or not we are in World War III right now fighting it.

Incidentally, there has been a nice alliance between Israel
and India militarily and economically for a few years now. For a long time the Indian government feared a backlash from its own Muslim minority about growing ties with Israel, and Arab condemnation, and things were kept on the QT, but now there is no such fear and its a good thing. Lore has it that Moshe Dayan flew in in the middle of night during the height of the 70-71 war with Pakistan (the liberation of Bangladesh) to offer military advice and conduct strategic consultations with the Indian government!
