Here we go again

Authorities say that 21 British Muslims of Pakistani origin are the suspects in the latest terrorist mass murder plot. Unfortunately, hours before that announcement, virtually every one of us had already concluded – correctly, it turns out — that Islamic radicals were the culprits.

How does civilized society deal with vermin like this? People who will wantonly kill innocents in the name of their twisted ideology? We guarantee them a fair trial, get them a lawyer if they need one, and increasingly shy away from the death penalty. Sad to say, our radical Islamic adversaries count on this and laugh at our civilized behavior as weakness. Then they plot to kill aqain.

Meanwhile, white-haired old ladies are routinely subjected to airport searches while Muslim men scoot right through the line because the authorities are terrified of being accused of ethnic profiling. Of course the shoe fits, but God forbid that we offend any increasingly vocal special interest groups.

Interestingly, even the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), one of the most vocal of these special interest groups, suspected their co-religionists from the start. CAIR released the following public statement shortly after 10 a.m. today: “The American Muslim community supports efforts to ensure the safety and security of the traveling public. We once again urge law enforcement authorities and elected officials to caution against stereotyping entire religious or ethnic groups based on the alleged actions of individuals.”

After all, sensitivity, not security, is the most important thing. We all need to remember this because it’s only a matter of time before another one of these barbaric plots is successful.

When is the West going to wake up?
