Tench also ignores, or downplays, the importance of how angry many Spaniards were over the government trying to score political points over trying to pin the blame on the Basque separatists. I suppose it is a novel concept to want to get rid of a government who habitually lies about things. I think it may be similar to the anger the people of CT are feeling now that Lieberman is running as an independent. Its not necessarily the same issue but I bet the anger is the same.
