In the early days of the war there were rumours of king husseins brother being the potential king. US probably was against this given what turned out to be misguided search for arab democracy.

Ms Hawkette. Yes, I disagree with monarchy. I disagree with people having too much power over other people. I disagree with American Neocons putzing around with the Middle East since we have the very obvious, daily vision of their hell-on-earth being played out in that very region.

I disagree that we can or should return from the 'equality of all' to authoritarian rule no matter how much pomp, circumstance and fun titles come with it. I disagree that we should go back instead of going forward.

Americans and Brits need to stop putzing around in the ME especially as the end of the oil era is in sight. After that it's just colonial arrogance and thuggishness.
