No, they aren't. Try taking an uncovered girl through downtown Beirut.

Try using Nasrallah references in your nightclub act...

Ted, The Lebanese are as influenced by western culture as the Israelis.

No, they aren't. Try taking an uncovered girl through downtown Beirut.

That's rude. That's downright rude and stupid. You show your ignorance. You know little about the place you are allowing the Israelis to destroy and that's more the pity. In fact, Beirut is one of the more sophisticated places in the ME. It is the home of the American University, a prestigious institution, whose famous alumni include both westerners and Arabs. Beirut is modern and cosmopolitan where many women walk the streets uncovered.

Its literacy rate is nearly 90% and its life expectancy is very close to the life expectancy of the US. It is 59% Muslim and 40% Christian. It was one of the most promising hopes for democracy in the ME until Israel bombed the hell out of it. Its makes me sick that you all allow Israel do whatever it wants. Only when world sentiment turned really ugly did Bush step in and stop the Israelis.

If fact, a portion of the Lebanese population is Christian.

It is much, much harder to be a Christian in a Muslim-dominated society than it is to be a Muslim in a Christian-dominated society.

Not in Lebanon since the civil war...........tensions between the two groups had declined significantly. Your attitude is unconscionable. You don't even understand the place that you gave tacit approval to destroy.

My God weeps for the Lebanese.....who does your God weep for?
