We have a lot in common Neeka--I, too, have been there done that with respect to the VN war. I do have to say that my reading and discussion of the same has led me to entirely different conclusion about its "ending" other than the "Left" lost it. That is, IMHO, just one small component of the Macro picture which is complex, interwoven, spans more than 100 years of history, and various Republican and Democrat Administrations. I say again the tendency of Americans of either the left or the right to seek labeled sound bite answers to complex problems, such as Iraq (which has been manipulated into the "War against Terrorism" [just like VN was made the poster child for the "WW Communist Movement"), is an ongoing threat to world stability and viable political solutions.
