AERT Announces Second Quarter Results
Friday August 11, 8:30 pm ET

SPRINGDALE, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 11, 2006--Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:AERT - News) announced that net sales for its second fiscal quarter, ended June 30, 2006, increased to $28,105,770 from $20,954,211 in the comparable period of 2005, a 34% increase.

Income before taxes increased 214% in the second quarter of 2006 to $2,885,805 from $918,938 in the second quarter of 2005. Net income was $1,723,097 for the second quarter of 2006, compared with $918,938 for the second quarter of 2005, an 88% increase. The Company began accruing income taxes for the first time starting in the fourth quarter 2005. Fully diluted earnings per share were $0.04 for the second quarter of 2006, compared to $0.02 for the second quarter of 2005.

The insiders selling seems to be over & they have reported some buying.<g>

In spite of all the reports of new orders in the last several months, the revenues have not improved & earnings have been lower.

The stock didn't close its little Sep 13 UG & only
partially closed its Dec 6 UG on Jan 9.

It still hasn't given any signs of its intention to close the Mar 9 DG, but things
may improve after it reports the pending 4thQ results.<g>
