It looks like "terrorism is to London as cancer is to the human body". Should we bomb the hell out of London?

Chemo is a radical and aggressive treatment of cancer. MDs use that treatmen when all else fails. All else did not fail in the case of Lebanon, and yet, the radical treatment was imposed.
